Club 10k - From a different perspective!

A huge thank you to our resident cameraman Jason for this view of the club 10k from a quite unusual perspective!

Club 10k Results

A big well done to all 34 runners who completed the club 10k! A warm evening at Elworth Cricket Club meant pleasant conditions for spectators and cricketers but tricky times for those undergoing some serious physical exertion.

After such bad weather forecast for the weekend I was expecting a very wet Potters half Marathon, but the sun come out and stayed out, which is great for sunbathing but not for running.

Race Report: Big Welsh Trail Half-marathon 07/06/2014

A few weeks ago, I remembered that I had said I would run the 30 mile ultra at Dig Deep, which was in 4 weeks time. I quickly devised a training plan which meant I needed to find a 13 mile race on this particular weekend. I found this one advertised on the South Cheshire Harriers website. This race is now in its second year, and includes both a half marathon (£25) and a 10k (£17).

Race Report: Wigan 10k trail race 01/06/2014

Trail races in Wigan don't actually conjure beautiful images of rolling countryside like the Peak District or Lake District,  but more of coal mines and  Britain's industrial past, and this was exactly what this run was on, an old disused coal mine.

The land has subsequently been reclaimed into a country park of woodland, lakes with a series of mingling paths which makes for a pleasant trail run.

Track relay event results 02/06/2014

A big well done to all the Striders who braved both the rain and the awful school PE team selection system to run the inaugural track relay event this evening at the Cumberland Athletics track in Crewe.

The winners! Perry, Lucy and Steve in the red team.

Your support at this event was very much appreciated!
