Rest? What's one of them?
Ok, so after last weeks marathon exploits I had decided to have a bash at the Buxton half marathon.
This was to be my 8th race in as many weeks. This had included 2 ultras 2 marathons and 2 half marathons...

It hasn't been the quickest race report in the history of Sandbach Striders, but I'm sure you'll agree it's been well worth the wait.

Race Report: Brathay Windermere Marathon 19/05/2013
Following completing the Sandstone trail ultra I felt pretty good and
decided to enter myself in to a marathon. I looked at a couple and
decided the reviews for the Brathay marathon made it worth a shot.

Race Report: Excalibur Marathon 18/05/2013
I first heard about this race two weeks ago when my
running bud phoned me excitedly telling me about a marathon in the Clwydian
Mountain Range where we do our hill and trail training most weekends, so on
that I decided to enter even though it did say it was the toughest marathon in
the United Kingdom.

Race Report: Clayton 10k 15/05/2013
On
Wednesday 15 May I ran the Clayton 10K. What a day I had at work, lots
of students coming in for interviews, then I had to rush to Talke Pit to
pick up Sue Davis from South Cheshire Harriers,
do my wonder woman act and change in her toilet and soon we were on the
road.
We got to Clayton at 6.20pm just in time to park the car and do a quick warm up.

Race Report: Rainow 5m Fell Race 08/05/2013
Occasionally, a race comes around which catches my eye.
The Rainow 5 is a fell race, but probably as easy as fell races get, having a
climb of 229m / 751ft and only 5 miles.

Race Report: Uttoxeter Half Marathon 05/05/2013
Today
I was picked up at 8.30am by Janet Evans from South Cheshire Harriers
and we picked up Sue Davis on route. The weather was good, clear skies
but a bit windy. It was cool and was ideal for running. My hubby had
warned me “don’t expect a good time” the course is tough. Flaming Norah! He was not kidding.

Race Report: Wrexham 10m 27/04/2013
Today
myself and Dennis set off at 12.15 from Sandbach to Wrexham to do the
10 mile race. Dennis’s sat nav decided to take us on a magical mystery
tour and I saw some areas of Nantwich that I had never seen before. Soon
we saw the sign for Wrexham so we knew it was taking us in the right
direction. !

Race Report: Shakespeare Marathon 28/04/2013 #2
The definition of a “great” marathon can be well and truly
pinned to the Shakespeare for all of us that took part. This year they
obviously learnt from their mistakes of last and the organisation, course,
weather were perfect gaining 5 of the 6 Striders PB’s either in the half or
full marathon.
Happy days.
