Race Report: Sandbach Family Fun Run 13/10/2013

The Sandbach 10k fun run started outside the cricket club and was two laps of the cricket pitch

It was a cloudy drizzly day but that did not dampen the fun and determination of all the children lining up at the start with a mix of very small children ranging from 1 year onwards.

Nadine 5 years old and Lara 4 years old lined up with their daddy amongst all the other children and hopeful parents the tension was nigh as the countdown commenced 3-2-1 go, and off we went, immediately Nadine wanted to go onto daddy’s shoulders because she was tired so we started running.

Lara with Daddy and Nadine having a piggy back…poor old Daddy, all the children were having a great time laughing, running, walking but all having great fun.
With one lap completed we had the finish in sight and with one quick sprint under the yellow archway we had finished Hoorah! Daddy was grinning and we all got chocolate and a lovely medal.
This was a great race and I will do this one again… See you next year!

Lara (I was the one running) and Nadine.
