One could assume
that there were some extra curricular activities going on this
weekend with the very little running that took place!
That being said, there was a great turnout at the foggy Congleton
parkrun, with Heather Carter coming in as first female and personal
best times for Lisa Highfield and Jaynie Turner.

Duncan
Robertson was back at Swindon parkrun with his daughter Millie.
Duncan thought he may have enjoyed the Christmas festivities a little
too much until his daughter pointed out that they had reversed the
course since they were last there! Duncan finished in 34:37.

Ellis was in York and finished their parkrun in 28:34.
Unfortunately the
Malaga marathon was cancelled due to severe flooding on the day.
This was a huge disappointment for Jan and his running buddy
Andy after all the training and investment they had put in to the
preparation for the event. They had already reached their
target through very generous friends and families and therefore
decided to run an unofficial marathon at home. On the 18th
December Jan and Andy ran a route mainly on road from Crewe to
Chester. This was a huge achievement considering they did the
run without the support of refreshment stations, entertainers along
route, the cheer of the crowd or marked traffic free routes but they
completed it in within their target time. Well done to you both.
