Race Report: Arley Half Marathon 21/07/2013

After our jaunt around Liverpool had been postponed, I was in need of something else to replace a good long run.

Tom mentioned the Arley Hall half and with considerable effort, I managed to get both Gordon and me into it (by the way, entries on the day were being taken although this wasn’t clear on the website!) 

Race Report: Trentham 10m 21/07/2013

Just before the race I treated myself to a massage by Brian Coles who worked on my tight calves, especially the left. And I really felt the benefit whilst running. 

My game plan was to try and beat last year’s time of 1. 31.

Well done to all who took part in the inaugural running of Mik's mystery scavenger hunt!

Striders worked in pairs and had just 75 minutes to come up with photographs that best captured the objects and people made famous by the boardgame Cluedo.

Race Report: Berryhill 10k 02/07/2013

Last night, Tuesday 3 July I ran the Berryhill 10K.  

Thanks to Sue Davis from South Cheshire Harriers and her satnav I actually made it to the race this year. As you all know last year I got lost and ended up just going home.

Race Report: Astbury Mere Relay Marathon 30/06/2013

After stocking up on hayfever medication and Sky-Plusing the British Grand Prix, Nicola and I headed to Astbury Mere for the first annual Boalloy Marathon Relay Challenge. 

We met Liz shortly before 10am, before mounting our challenge against 8 other teams.
