I get there early to make sure I got a parking spot and it was already really busy. Running Bear had a tempting aray of running gear for.sale but I resisted temptation and just had a quick look but don't buy anything.
The only Strider I managed to see was Robert Kettle but could stop to talk so I had an appointment with a long queue for the portaloo's.
It was long before we were being asked to move upto the starting line.
Forget how busy it gets, it was quite a slow start as we made our way onto the main road. There were plenty of people cheering our on for.the first half a mile which was really nice.
There were plenty of Marshalls along the course and there some that were very enthusiastic, I'm sure that there will be some sore throat's tonight!!!
Wilmslow Half is supported well by the locals too, plenty of people along the route cheering us runners on, I managed to see some familiar faces from work once we got into Mobberley village.
It became very warm for the last few miles of the race and I did slow down.
Got a lovely bit of bling and a good goody bag, with technical tee shirt, flagpjack, Mars bar & Drink.
I managed pb time at the 10k mark and a Pb for Wilmslow Half but overall not a PB at the half Marathon distance.
Its a lovely scenic course which is well marshalled and I would recommend this race to club members who haven't tried it before.
