I was expecting very bad weather this morning (possibly even as an
excuse not to run!) so i was very pleased to find it dry and even sunny
at times.
Within the first Mile there was the dreaded climb past Tesco but
chatting to John from Alsager, another Sandbach Strider made it easier.

The race went through smaller country lanes with modest hills and
loads of curves which made it more entertaining. I did recognise a few
roads / signs and landmarks from previous cycle rides and was also
surprised to suddenly see Jodrell Bank,
I did struggle between mile 10 and 11, but was able to pick up my usual pace again up to the last short and steep hill (the "sting in the tail")... It was great to find John and his wife waiting for me at the finish - great race, great venue and very happy!
