Members of Sandbach Striders Running Club were in action in
four different parkrun events around the country. Closest to home were the 11
Striders who ran the three laps of Astbury Mere that make up Congleton parkrun.

Tony Taylor continued his run of good form finishing in second place overall in
a new personal best time. Steve Fallows also ran a new personal best time.

Lou Hayward opted to run the Delamere parkrun, finishing the
single lap course in 28:15. Paul Barnett ran the inaugural parkrun along the
sea front at Crosby, near Liverpool finishing in a time of 21:56. Michael
Escolme ran the Hull parkrun around East Park in Hull, finishing the two lap
course in 24:13.

Four Striders entered the Six Dales Circuit, a 25 mile event
organised by the Long Distance Walkers Association, finishing the course in
6:15.

Julia Dunlop ran her second ever 10k in Manchester at the
Run in the Dark 10k. Julia finished the night run in 1:07:33

Paul Nicholls ran the Hell of Hill Marathon at Rivington Pike near Bolton,
finishing the course in 6:51:37.
