Yes folks it was that time of the year we the brave-hearted took on the
hills of Clayton on a Wednesday night.

The saving grace was that it was
not raining. The conditions were just perfect. This race always has a
large number doing it and
true to form it was full on the night. The start is congested and
luckily this year no one fell. After a 1, 2, 3 shout we were off on this
two lap course. Scenic- naw- you go up and down a lot of hills. At the
4.5 K marker there is a hill that kills but once
you have mastered it you know you will come to it again at 9K. The
finish is on a downhill.

It was nice to see so many of the NSRRA
runners on the course. I’d recommend it to those of you who love hills.
Heather thought there were a lot of down hills but
alas Tony and I could not agree on that, we must have blinked and
missed them. Lindsay and Tony were first timers on this course and the
consensus was “it was tough”. Well done to Tony getting under the 40
minutes. The price is ok and you get a mug when you
finish.
