Saturday was the 5th Congleton parkrun at Astbury Mere. There
was a great turnout on a windy day with 143 runners taking part, 10 from
Sandbach Striders and three new 5k personal best times. Finishing times were as

Race Report: CAFOD Fun Run 27/12/2012
"Please
Run Carefully. Do Not Fall Into The Canal. This Is A Fun Run Not A Race.
But if you come first there is a prize." said the race organiser. And I
heard a loud laugh beside me. I looked around and recognised the
laugher as an ex-work colleague, a member of Macc Harriers and veteran
of several SuperSix races with a best time of under 39 minutes. Well if
he wasn’t planning to take it too easily then neither would I!

Striders hit the ground running in 2013!
CAFOD Fun Run (5
Mile) - 27th Dec 2012
Join CAFOD for a post-Christmas outing at the Bollington fun
run and burn off all those mince pies! That was the advert and Strider Martin
Colman joined in the fun and ran 5 miles of muddy paths around the local area….and
Martin won the race.
